Special characters can't break an order anymore
Odd symbols in a request — like &, ", or ½ — no longer garble an order. They come through exactly as written.
Some of the trickiest requests are the ones with unusual characters in them: a
quantity written as 1½, a size with inch marks like 5/8", or a note with an
& in the middle. Until now, those symbols could occasionally scramble a line
when it turned into an order.
We now clean up and normalize every incoming request before it becomes an order. The characters you see in the request are the characters that land in the order — no surprises, no silent changes.
Zero mistakes on site starts with the order being right in the first place. This is one more place where a small detail used to cost real time, and now it just works.
